Charges Filed After Washington County Arrest

Washington County Charge Status
Booking charges and court charges can change. A jail report may list a warrant, commitment, assault, theft, DUI, ICE hold, AP&P hold, or other label. The report may show cash or bond warrants, cash-only warrants, no-bail accepted warrants, commitments, AP&P holds, or ICE holds. A paid amount on one line may not release someone if another hold remains.

Warrants Before Washington County Arrest

Charges vs Convictions
An arrest and charge are not the same as a conviction. A Washington County booking report may show alleged offenses soon after arrest. The court record may later show different filed charges, dismissal, amendment, plea, trial result, or sentencing. Sealed and Expunged Arrest Records
Utah Courts states that sealed records, expunged cases, juvenile delinquency records, child welfare cases, and termination cases are not available through Xchange. That means a person may have a past Washington County arrest that is not visible in the public case search because the record is legally restricted. Jail records and court records are also governed by different agencies and record rules, so a GRAMA request to WCSO does not replace a court-record request.
