Washington County Jail Mugshots Overview
Washington County does not display individual mugshots on the WCSO current alpha roster. The roster's name links point to a generic WCSO badge image instead of a public inmate profile. That is a common point of confusion because the roster can confirm current custody, but it does not provide the booking photo, charge list, required amount, court label, agency, or PCF number.
The official place where booking photos were documented is the WCSO Jail Bookings in the last 5 days report. That page is a recent-bookings feed, not a mugshot gallery. Each booking block may include a linked image with alt text for the person, then the name, city/state, PCF number, arrest date, agency, custody status, charges, crime classification, statute, court, required amount, and payment status.
Find Washington County Jail Mugshots
Start with the WCSO bookings report because that is where Washington County booking photos are published when available. If the person is in current custody but the booking is outside the recent report window, use the alpha roster to get the name number and incarceration time, then contact Purgatory Correctional Facility or file a GRAMA request. If the person was released, check the 14-day release report for release confirmation, but do not expect a photo there.

Are Washington County Mugshots Public?
Utah law treats booking photographs differently from ordinary public-record text. Utah Code 17-22-30 says a sheriff may not provide a copy of a booking photograph if it will be placed in a publish-for-pay publication or website, or if the booking photograph is protected under GRAMA. The safe statement is that booking photos are visible on that official five-day booking report when WCSO displays them. The research did not locate a Washington County source saying booking photos remain online for a set number of days after release, stay online for 30 days, or appear in a permanent gallery.
What is and is not public: The five-day booking report can show photos and charge details. The alpha roster does not show photos, and the 14-day release report does not provide mugshots.
Request Washington County Booking Photos
When a photo is not on the five-day bookings page, the records route is WCSO's GRAMA request form. The form is for government records requests under Utah Code 63G-2. WCSO says the requester will receive a response within 10 working days and that most report copies require a minimum cash fee. Do not prepay. The page says payment instructions will be emailed after processing.
Include the person's full name, PCF number if known, booking date, arresting agency, and a clear description of the requested booking photograph or booking record. Utah Code 17-22-30 may require the signed anti-publish-for-pay statement before a sheriff releases a copy of a booking photograph. GRAMA also allows restrictions for private, controlled, protected, or otherwise nonpublic records.
Washington County Mugshot Removal
Utah Code 17-22-30 addresses publish-for-pay mugshot websites. It says a publish-for-pay publication or website must remove and destroy a booking photograph within 30 calendar days after a qualifying removal and destruction request, subject to statutory exceptions. It also says removal may not be conditioned on payment. That rule is aimed at commercial publish-for-pay use, not at rewriting the sheriff's official booking record.
For a dismissed, sealed, or expunged criminal case, the court-record path is separate from the photo-copy path. Use court procedures for sealing or expungement questions and use WCSO GRAMA for sheriff records. Utah Courts says sealed and expunged cases are not displayed in Xchange. The public booking report and the formal court records after a jail arrest should not be treated as the same record.
State and Federal Booking Photos
State and federal custody do not use the Washington County booking-photo path.
