Washington County Jail Roster Overview
The Washington County Sheriff's Office uses official report pages rather than one modern searchable jail database. The current alpha roster is the main current-custody list for Purgatory Correctional Facility. It is free, does not require a login, and lists people in current county jail custody by name. The roster is narrow by design. It gives the name number, name, and time incarcerated, but it does not show the charge list, court, bond, booking photo, agency, housing unit, or personal profile.
Washington County inmate records become more complete when the roster is paired with the Jail Bookings in the last 5 days report, the Releases prior 14 days report, the jail phone line, and a GRAMA request when a formal copy is needed. Purgatory Correctional Facility also holds selected UDC state inmates, so UDC's offender search may apply after sentencing or state supervision. A no-result search in one system does not end the inquiry.
Use the Washington County Inmate Roster
The current roster has no search fields. Use browser find on the page, then read the fixed report fields. Names appear in a last-name-first format, and long or compound names may be shortened or spaced in a way that differs from common spelling. If the person is not on the roster, check recent bookings and releases before assuming there is no Washington County inmate record.

- Search by last name first, then try hyphenated surnames, compound surnames, initials, and spelling variants.
- If a name appears, capture the name number and time incarcerated for later phone or GRAMA use.
- Open the five-day bookings report for charge, agency, court, required amount, payment, and mugshot fields.
- Check the 14-day release report if the person recently left Purgatory Correctional Facility.
Washington County Roster Search Fields
The Washington County roster is a list-only report. That limitation is useful to state clearly because many jail roster searches elsewhere use name fields or booking-number forms. In Washington County, the practical search method is the browser's page search, then the booking report or jail phone line for more detail.

Washington County Inmate Profile Fields
The richer public record is the five-day bookings report. It is a chronological feed, not a searchable profile database, but it shows the fields people usually expect from a jail booking page. Read the full booking block because one person can have several charges, several court labels, or more than one required amount. Do not treat a single zero-dollar line as proof that the person can be released.

Find Washington County State and Federal Inmates
Washington County jail records cover current local custody and recent booking events. They do not replace the Utah Department of Corrections offender search, which covers current UDC incarceration, probation, or parole. Washington County Jail Facility
Purgatory Correctional Facility is the only confirmed detention facility in the Washington County facility map. It is operated by the Washington County Sheriff's Office and holds pretrial detainees, local-sentence inmates, warrants, court commitments, AP&P holds, ICE-related holds when booked locally, and selected UDC inmates. The Sheriff's Office lists the jail at 750 South 5300 West, Hurricane, Utah 84737, with public hours Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.

Washington County Booking Process
Official Washington County pages do not publish a full intake manual, but the public reports show the main path. A person may be arrested or held by WCSO, city police, Washington County Corrections, Adult Probation and Parole, ICE, or another agency. The person is booked into Purgatory, assigned or displayed with a PCF number, and recorded with an arrest time, agency, charge, classification, statute, court, required amount, and payment status. Booking photos appear on the bookings report when available.
The jail report is not the final court record. Booking charges can differ from charges later filed by the prosecutor. For formal court charges, hearing records, dispositions, or documents, use Utah Courts Xchange, courthouse terminals, or the court clerk. For the custody side, use the roster, bookings, releases, jail phone line, and WCSO GRAMA.
Washington County Jail Visitation Rules
WCSO separates general visits, clergy visits, and legal visits. General inmate visitation and phones are routed to GettingOut.com or 1-866-516-0115. The local visitation contact is visiting@washeriff.net and (435) 656-6669. Clergy visitors must submit a visitation request with affiliation documentation and wait for a confirmation email. Legal visits have separate protections and do not require the standard visitation request.

Washington County Inmate Mail and Funds
Ordinary PCF mail must be in postcard form unless it is legal mail or another specifically approved item. Postcards must include the sender's full name and return address, cannot be larger than 6 inches by 11.5 inches, and may not include attachments, glitter, perfume, lipstick, or sexually explicit material. Legal mail must be marked legal on the outside and include the sender's name and address. Books and publications must come from a publisher or authorized national distributor, and books must be new and softcover.

Washington County Inmate Record Requests
When the online roster and booking reports do not show enough detail, WCSO's GRAMA request form is the official records path. The form asks for the requester's full name, date of birth, mailing address, daytime phone, email, the type of request, a description of the record, the reason for the request, and the requester's entitlement basis. WCSO states that it responds within 10 working days and that report copies often require a minimum cash fee after processing.
Use the PCF number, booking date, agency, and court label when available. Those details help separate common names and make the request more precise. A records request can seek a report or booking record, but it does not replace the court system for filed charges or disposition.
